Agricultural Economics
Agricultural economics combines the technical aspects of agriculture with the business aspects of management, marketing and finance. Students are prepared for a wide variety of exciting careers in the marketing of commodities sold and inputs purchased by agricultural producers; agricultural finance; and management of agribusinesses, farms and ranches. In addition, many graduates pursue successful careers in government service, economic development, commodity promotion and agricultural policy analysis.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will demonstrate their proficiency through assessment activities by effectively formatting both numbered and unnumbered paragraphs, as well as creating business letters and memos using templates. They will apply appropriate layouts to various slides for computer screens and data projectors, following specific instructions. Additionally, students will manage worksheets within a workbook at an advanced level, incorporating the fundamental principles of MS PowerPoint 1A. Furthermore, students are expected to achieve a typing speed of 20 words per minute while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

- This course aims at equipping the students with the necessary skills required to understand, define and analyse basic and complicated electrical circuits.
- The course provides theory and techniques required to develop, analyse and simplify alternating-current (a.c.) and direct-current (d.c.) circuits/networks containing resistors, capacitors and inductors using appropriate principles, techniques and theorems.
- The course also provides a platform for students to develop unique analytical skills which will be used in other non-electrical courses in engineering.

Students should be able to identify, consider and understand the reasoning behind legal practices, principles and policies inherent to the law applicable to hospitality and/or tourism enterprises. Students should be able to confidently handle, analyse, apply and where relevant, compare principles, practices and policies regarding contracts in the evolving context of hospitality, travel and tourism.
