To provide the student with the opportunity to demonstrate his/her ability to execute his/her approved project proposal. The student must carry out an independent study of a problem, formulate a solution, initiate the project and apply project-management skills to finish this project within the time allocated. For design projects, the student is expected to produce a working prototype including technical documentation, while for research projects, the student is expected to provide a conceptual solution to a problem, demonstrating sound academic research methodology: data collection, processing and analysis; and experimentation/evaluation of findings. All students must submit a written report describing the project procedure and an analysis of results obtained before a technical audience. The oral and written presentation will be assessed both internally and externally.
